Who is Real Family Fellowship?

Purpose or mission:

The mission of RFF is to create an environment where every person develops a deeper and more intimate relationship with their Creator and out of that relationship they connect and transform the culture around them.

Church history:

We began as a handful of families on a front lawn and a hunger for a biblically modeled church. The first meeting was too big for our living room so we met in our yard. One of our first worship services was led from the front porch step.   In a matter of weeks that small group of likeminded believers saw the pieces miraculously come together and we secured our own furnished building, which is our current location. Over the next nine years RFF has responded to divine direction to engage and expand the influence of Christ in the areas of Pro-life, Government, adoption, and creative arts.

Beliefs:

Salvation is by faith in Jesus Christ, the only son of God. We believe that repentance and forgiveness result in a transformed lifestyle for those who believe and confess that Jesus is Lord.

We believe that the spiritual gifts as recorded in 1 Corinthians 12 are for today and should be in active use in establishing the influence of the kingdom of God on the earth.

We believe in a literal heaven for those who accept Christ as their personal Savior and a literal hell for those who reject Him.

We believe that the family unit is God’s original and primary design for shaping a righteous and healthy culture. However, we believe the church, empowered by apostles, prophets, evangelists, pastors, and teachers, has a God-ordained role to play in training, equipping, and discipling individuals and families on a consistent and on-going basis.

What makes us unique, our personality? We have a strong desire to restore the role of the family as a primary discipleship influence while maintaining the importance of the five-fold ministry of apostles, prophets, evangelists, pastors, and teachers. Pastor Joe and his wife Fondee have a rich and nationally recognized background in the creative arts and in communicating to children.

The message of RFF challenges the family as well the individual to fulfill their assignment to influence culture by using their unique gifts.

Joe Bruce

pastor

Pastor Joe Bruce began his ministry at a very early age. He was saved at his home in a home prayer meeting at the age of five. He began learning and performing ventriloquism at the age of 12. He began functioning in the role of children’s pastor at the age of 17. He also began to travel and speak at churches as a children’s evangelist at the age of 17. At the age of 20, he accepted a position as children and youth pastor at a church in Fort Worth. He married his high school sweetheart at the age of 21. Over the next several years, Joe spoke at youth camps, training events, schools, daycares, and other various settings. He also ministered to inner city street kids through Sidewalk Sunday School and high need children at a children’s hospital. He has spoken in 39 states, Ecuador and Columbia. In 1997, Joe began to see a bigger picture. Over the course of the next several months, he realized that in order to effectively change the lives of children and truly minister to them, he had to affect the FAMILY. In 2000, Joe started a church in the Austin area that was focused on ministering to and restoring families. He moved back to the Fort Worth area in 2002. In 2004, he founded Real Family Fellowship in Azle, Texas. He is the senior pastor and visioneer for this fellowship of families and individuals. Joe is still married to his high school sweetheart and they have ten wonderful children and ten grandchildren. He believes that the original mandate is to establish a strong Word-based heritage and transfer that to future generations. God’s original and practical design is for this responsibility to be fulfilled through the family. Restoring divine order to the family is a big part of Pastor Joe’s message to the church today.
